Pre-Bid Conference: Notice to Contractors
The work consists of replacing the existing bridge superstructure O-06-030 carrying Route 56 over the French River in Oxford, MA with a new single-span bridge superstructure consisting of Prefabricated Bridge Units (PBUs) and modifications of the abutments and wingwalls to accommodate the new superstructure. Abutment and wingwall modifications include removal of the bridge seats, backwalls, approach slabs, and upper portions of the wingwalls and parapets and installation of new precast concrete abutment bridge seats, backwalls, moment slabs, and approach slabs. Also included is the reconstruction of approximately 505 feet of Leicester Street including full depth roadway construction, pavement fine milling, hot mix asphalt paving, guardrail, pavement markings, the installation of temporary utility bridge support, relocation of overhead wires, traffic signal timing, and other incidental items.
