DESE is seeking a partner(s) to support the shared visioning, development, communication, and delivery of statewide professional learning and coaching to promote implementation of the Early Literacy Program Approval Criteria for educator preparation programs preparing teacher candidates in Early Childhood, Elementary, or Moderate Disabilities PK-2/PK-8 licensure roles. The partner(s) will collaborate with DESE on visioning, scope and sequence, outreach, registration, and evaluation; run professional learning communities in Spring 2027, Fall 2027, Spring 2028, Fall 2028 and Spring 2029; provide on-site coaching at least monthly for leadership, program redesign, and field-based experiences; develop and review accessible resources for the Early Literacy in Educator Preparation Resource Hub; and plan and deliver an annual conference in June 2027, June 2028 and June 2029, including content development, facilitation, logistics, stipends, and interim and final reporting.
