The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) is soliciting proposals from qualified transportation providers to supply install and support Intelligent Transportation Systems. Any contract awarded under this RFP is subject to finance assistance contracts between BRTA and the U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and/or the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The contract will be subject to FTA and MA procurement requirements

The Contractor will provide ITS systems including a cloud-based Computer Aided Dispatch/Automated Vehicle Locator system with live bus tracking, real-time analytics, and historical playback; mobile applications compatible with iOS and Android for trip planning, real-time tracking, and alerts; mobile data terminals for operators with pre/post-trip inspection reporting, route directions, and passenger counting; station information displays with real-time data and infotainment; automated voice annunciators with remote programming; automatic passenger counters meeting NTD reporting requirements; on-demand/paratransit software with reservations, real-time trip optimization, and driver communications; and a comprehensive training program for BRTA personnel. The Contractor must also provide a three-year service and support agreement with options for two one-year extensions, and warranty all components for a minimum of one year post-installation.
