Pre-Bid Conference: The deadline for receipt of Letters of Interest is May 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon). All parties must send a Letter of Interest to MassDOTBIDDocuments@dot.state.ma.us.
The scope of work includes final design and construction of new twin bridges at the Sagamore crossing of the Cape Cod Canal, realignment of Route 6 and Route 3, design and construction of local street connections (including portions of Cranberry Highway, Mid-Cape Connector, Sandwich Road, Scenic Highway, Meetinghouse Lane, Eleanor Avenue, State Road, and Canal Street), multiple intersections and roundabouts, a network of shared-use paths and sidewalks, new traffic signals, demolition of the existing Sagamore Bridge, design and construction of three highway bridges and demolition of one highway bridge, design and construction of 18 retaining walls and demolition of two retaining walls, comprehensive drainage system upgrades, stormwater control measures, and other elements including Survey, Geotechnical design, Utility Relocations and Coordination, Traffic Engineering, Pavement Markings and Signage, Landscaping, Environmental Permitting and Compliance, Street Lighting, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Stormwater Management, support of MassDOT's Public Outreach and Coordination, and Hazardous Materials Assessment & Remediation.
