Subject: Request for written quote (demolition of vacant municipal building)

The Town of Newbury is requesting written quotations from qualified contractors to demolish a vacant municipal building located at 25 High Road in Newbury, MA.

• This scope covers the full structural demolition of the building including all above grade elements, foundation, footings and grade beams.
• The awarded contractor will be responsible for disposal of all debris.
• Upon demolition, the foundation should be graded to a safe slope.
• The Town will be responsible for dismantling all utilities, permitting, and police details. Any potential asbestos will be the town’s responsibility to have removed prior to demolition of the building.

All quotations should be submitted on official letterhead and received by November 12th at 10:00am and may be emailed directly to: asstadmin@newburyma.gov.

Upon receiving the project award, the contractor will be required by the Town to submit the following items:

• 50% payment bond required if contract is more than $25,000

• Massachusetts Prevailing wages apply

• Certificate of Insurance Required

• Proof of OSHA Training Required
