Sludge Dewatering and Chemical Bulk Storage Improvements:
The chemical improvements consist of replacement of the existing LAS and ACH bulk storage tanks and containment and installation of two (2) 10,000-gallon fiberglass chemical bulk storage tanks within a reinforced concrete containment structure and associated chemical feed pumps. Sludge dewatering upgrades involve installing onsite equipment consisting of a dewatering press, a sludge feed pump, and polymer feed equipment. The complete installation will require the equipment structure, foundation and canopy with a rainfall collection system, piping, and associated appurtenances. The project will also include electrical upgrades for the new equipment. Add alternate items include interim relocation of the two (2) existing chemical bulk storage tanks to maintain chemical feed during construction, and SCADA integration for monitoring and control of the new equipment.
Train 1 Air Scour:
The air scour improvements consist of Installation of air header piping and laterals in three filters; installation of two blowers on a new concrete blower pad with associated appurtenances; and electrical connection of new equipment to the existing filter PLC for control and monitoring.
