The work to be accomplished under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all machinery, equipment, labor, and supervision for removal and replacement of dock protection, fendering materials, structural repairs and steel protective coating repairs.

Bid opening: October 14, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Chicago) — 2525 FM 1593 South, Point Comfort, Texas 77978 — Said Sealed Proposals shall be submitted on blank forms provided, shall be sealed in separate envelopes per Instructions to Bidders, and shall be clearly marked “GENERAL CARGO PUBLIC DOCK REHABILITATION PROJECT – BID OPENING: 9:00 A.M., WEDNESDAY, October 14, 2026.” Proposals shall be for the furnishing of all labor, materials not provided by Owner, equipment, and superintendence, and for performing the specified Work

Said Sealed Proposals shall be submitted on blank forms provided, shall be sealed in separate envelopes per Instructions to Bidders, and shall be clearly marked “GENERAL CARGO PUBLIC DOCK REHABILITATION PROJECT – BID OPENING: 9:00 A.M., WEDNESDAY, October 14, 2026.” Proposals shall be for the furnishing of all labor, materials not provided by Owner, equipment, and superintendence, and for performing the specified Work. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Calhoun Port may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating prices in any Bid, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the Bid. Bids may be held by CPA for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award. The Award shall be made to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest, qualified, acceptable Bid who, in the opinion of the Owner, offers the Bid in the best interests of the Owner. There is no charge to view or download the documents. Addendums and other announcements will be distributed via Civcast to all plan holders. Bidders shall submit any questions or requests for clarification regarding the plans in writing via Civcast. The cut-off for questions shall be 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 2026.
