The work consists of removing and disposing of the existing outdoor canopy fabric and furnishing and installing new Herwlite Products Inc. Patio 500 fabric, or approved equal, on the existing canopy structure at the Gary Fox Building, 2401 North Powerline Road, Pompano Beach, Florida 33069. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, hardware, equipment, tools, transportation, delivery, removal, disposal, access equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The work may involve ladders, lifts, and overhead exterior installation. The contractor shall protect building occupants, pedestrians, property, and the surrounding work area and shall comply with all applicable safety requirements and OSHA regulations. The fabric shall be vinyl-laminated polyester, Herwlite Products Inc. Patio 500 or approved equal, suitable for exterior canopy applications, with a matte, linen-like finish, waterproof, and resistant to mildew, UV exposure, high humidity, and corrosive atmosphere. All hardware shall be Type 316 stainless steel manufactured by SolaMesh or approved equal, or pre-coated galvanized steel. The existing canopy frame should remain in place, and no structural modification to the frame is required. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the County Project Coordinator, verify all field dimensions, maintain a clean and safe work area, remove all debris and existing canopy material, and be responsible for any damage caused during the work. Regular working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year workmanship and installation warranty and a five-year manufacturer's product warranty for the canopy fabric. Measurement and payment are on a lump-sum basis for Bid Line 01, which includes removal and disposal of existing fabric and replacement and installation of new fabric. A $2,500 allowance is included for unforeseen conditions.
