Illinois State Police (ISP) desires to establish a contract for janitorial services for the Chicago Forensic Laboratory. Please read the entire attached IFB & submit a Bid for evaluation in accordance with the instructions.
The vendor must provide janitorial/custodial services for the Division of Forensic Science Lab at 1941 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608. Daily tasks include cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms (walls, floors, toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors), restocking consumables, emptying trash, vacuuming/mopping/sweeping floors, dusting window blinds and seals, and cleaning desks and chairs in offices, conference rooms, auditorium, breakrooms, front reception area, entrance, vestibules, hallways, and common areas. Weekly tasks include cleaning windows inside and outside entrances/exits, spray buffing all tile floors, and cleaning stairwells. Monthly tasks include cleaning all first-floor windows inside and outside. Quarterly tasks include stripping and waxing all tile floors and shampooing all carpeted areas. As-needed tasks include spot cleaning and disinfecting, and other janitorial tasks agreed upon with the Facilities Manager. The ISP provides all cleaning supplies, restock materials, and equipment. The vendor must work Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm, excluding state holidays, for a minimum of six hours per day. The recommended staffing level is three janitorial personnel. Subcontractors are not allowed.
