The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Medical Director at Choate Center located at 1000 North Main Street, Anna, IL 62906.
The vendor shall provide Medical Director Services for Choate Center. Under administrative direction of Choate Center’s facility director, the physician serves as the Medical Director; supervises medical staff; maintains the overall quality of clinical care provided to the individuals at the facility, including planning, staff administration and implementation of medical treatment regimens, individual care programs and services of the facility. Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures related to established standards for individual care, medical ethics, and licensing/regulations. The Medical Director will submit to a background investigation and undergo a pre-interview after contract execution. Training will be provided on infection control practices. The Medical Director shall be responsible for their own malpractice insurance, transportation, lodging and healthcare coverage. Routinely, work hours will be 37.5 hours per week, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, and the Medical Director will be expected to be available by phone outside of scheduled on site work hours.
