Big Muddy River Correctional Center is seeking a Vendor to provide a five (5) year contract for elevator registration, inspection, repair and maintenance services.
The vendor shall provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, replacement, and emergency services for a hydraulic elevator (Dover Elevator Company/DMC-1, Serial #EG1052) located in the Academic Building/Multi-purpose Building. The vendor must establish and maintain a written preventive maintenance program with at least monthly inspections and a documented checklist for each inspection. Preventive maintenance and repairs include all elevator components including hydraulic systems, electrical components, motors, governors, hoisting equipment, door systems, guide rails, car frames, machine rooms, and dispatching systems. The vendor shall repair or replace worn or defective components as needed, including hoisting ropes and traveling cables. The vendor must obtain and maintain the Certificate of Operation from the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal throughout the contract term. Emergency services must be provided with response within two hours of call and within sixty minutes for elevator entrapments, charged at regular or overtime repair rates depending on timing and cause. All routine maintenance shall occur during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) unless authorized otherwise by the Chief Engineer. The vendor must provide complete service records and monthly summary reports (due by the 20th working day of each month) detailing all services, maintenance, repairs, parts used, and recommendations. All work shall be performed at Big Muddy River Correctional Center in Ina, IL, with the vendor providing all tools, equipment, ladders, and supplies necessary and maintaining safe, clean, and secure work areas while complying with all facility safety and security requirements.
