The lessee will farm 89.80 acres of State-owned land at Sam Dale Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area, following a specified cropping plan (Attachment B) that rotates corn and soybeans across eight fields. The lessee must plant 40 acres of cover crops annually, comply with soil testing requirements, maintain minimum soil fertility levels, and follow all IDNR conservation practices. The lessee must provide all labor, machinery, seed, fertilizer, equipment, and insurance. The lessee must document all chemical, fertilizer, and seed applications and submit records annually. The lessee is prohibited from using neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed and Dicamba. The lessee may perform additional services in lieu of cash payments with prior approval.
