The lessee will farm 92.50 acres of crop land at Pyramid State Park, Captain Unit, in Perry County, Illinois, under a five-year lease (2027-2031). The lessee must provide all labor, machinery, tools, seed, fertilizer, equipment, and insurance to perform all necessary farming operations in accordance with the cropping plan and lease requirements. The lessee must follow ecologically sound agricultural practices, including cover cropping on designated fields, maintaining minimum soil test levels, and documenting all chemical, fertilizer, and seed applications. The lessee is prohibited from using neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed and Dicamba, and must control weeds and pests. The lessee must guarantee lease payment annually by prepaying the full rent or providing an irrevocable letter of credit, and must pay all leasehold taxes. Subcontracting is prohibited except for cover crop planting/termination and baling of wheat stubble or hay.
