The contractor will harvest food and bait herring with purse seine gear in Sitka Sound from November 9, 2026 through February 28, 2027, including assessing herring biomass to locate concentrations, hosting one or two department biologists aboard during harvesting, allowing Age-Weight-Length biological sampling aboard or at delivery in Sitka, and supplying seine vessel capable of Sitka Sound weather, CFEC permit holder aboard, commercial seine net and gear, tender capability if needed, refrigerated seawater system and minimum 25-ton fish hold, and all food, fuel, crew and living arrangements, with all fish becoming State property.
