Fermilab is seeking to procure bar grating and saddle clips. Please see attached Fermilab RFP 388000kmb and associated documentation. Please review the RFP document fully, as it outlines how to submit a complete proposal package.

The subcontractor shall provide all bar grating and associated clips/hardware meeting the specification: bearing bar height 1-1/2", bearing bar thickness 3/16", nominal unsupported span 48", bearing bars parallel to span direction with maximum clear spacing of 1", dead load (self-weight) 11 PSF, live load 100 PSF minimum, concentrated line load at mid-span 1000 LB minimum, nominal maximum deflection 0.25", maximum panel width 2'-0", galvanized (hot dipped) material, and clips clamping to the top flange of W44x290 cryostat roof beams and/or W10x49 spacer beams. The RFP line items total 530 grating panels in eight sizes (e.g., 368 at 62.875" x 24" x 1-1/2", 72 at 62.875" x 12", 60 at 76.75" x 24", 20 at 78.75" x 24", 4 at 78.75" x 12", 2 at 62.875" x 25.875", 2 at 76.75" x 13.875", 2 at 76.75" x 12") plus 1,768 Type W44 saddle clips and 352 Type W10 saddle clips. Post-award deliverables include bar grating sized per the FFDG drawing, customer support for installation/operation questions, operator's manuals, and a logistics and shipping plan; a mill certification and CoC are required with delivery.
