The contractor shall design, fabricate, assemble, test, and deliver a hybrid, in-vacuum undulator for the SPEAR3 10S straight section. The undulator shall have a 22.0 mm magnetic period, a minimum of 151 full-strength periods, and a minimum effective field of 1.07 T at the nominal vertical clear aperture of 6.13 mm. The scope includes the magnet sub-system (hybrid magnet arrays, wake current sheets, multipole corrector modules, and corrector coils), actuation and support sub-system (suspension rods, girder assemblies, spindle assemblies, drive assembly, and support frame), vacuum sub-system (undulator vacuum chamber, in-vacuum taper assemblies, ferrite dampers, and other vacuum components), and utilities and controls sub-system (cooling water, power supplies, motion controls, vacuum controls, and machine protection system). The contractor must also provide spare PM blocks and poles, documentation, and meet all magnetic, mechanical, vacuum, and testing requirements specified in SSRL Engineering Note M927.
