Selected innovators will participate in a two-year program at Argonne National Laboratory, beginning with a Scope and Planning Phase (typically less than 6 months) involving market studies, research scope refinement, and intellectual property landscape surveys, followed by a Research and Development Phase. Innovators receive a personal stipend, travel allowance, health benefits, lab space, technical collaboration support, and mentorship. They must enter into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with Argonne, develop an Intellectual Property Management Plan, and undergo a midpoint review after the first year.
