Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards.
The contractor must remanufacture the F118 Front Frame (NSN 2840-01-694-9977LR and alternates), a 17-4PH Stainless Steel frame that provides deicing air, houses scavenge and oil supply tubes, and vertical engine mounts. The base year requires BEQ 11 EA with delivery of 1 per month ARO, and each of four option years also requires BEQ 11 EA with the same delivery schedule. UID requirements apply if unit price exceeds $5,000.
