Site Visit:
A site visit is scheduled for 9/18/2026@ 10:30 am, the meeting place is the Maintenance Building at Sam Houston National Cemetery Vendors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit to ensure a full understanding of the requirements. No additional or repeat site visits will be scheduled.
Vendor Questions:
All vendor questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted by email to the david.hester@va.gov no later 9/21/2026. Questions received after this deadline may not be addressed, and answers will be provided via amendment no later than 9/28/2026 on SAM.gov.
The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment and any other items necessary to perform solid waste disposal for the National Cemetery. This includes providing one 30-yard roll-off dumpster for weekly general waste pickup (52 pick-ups per year) and one 30-yard roll-off dumpster on an as-needed basis (estimated 2 times per performance period). The contractor must also provide optional unscheduled pick-ups. Services include delivery, maintenance, and removal of dumpsters, with pick-ups every Wednesday between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm. The contractor must comply with all regulatory requirements, provide drivers with valid CDLs, and maintain proper insurance and licenses.
