This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for project 671-24-004 NRM Replace 2nd Floor Roof, located at South Texas Veterans Healthcare System (STVHCS) 7400 Merton Minter Blvd. San Antonio, Tx 78229.
The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation to demolish the existing 2nd floor roof down to the concrete deck and install a new roofing system including vapor barrier, insulation, tapered insulation, built-up roof plies, cover board, and cap sheet. Work also includes removal, storage, reinstallation, and recertification of the existing lightning protection system by a UL-certified installer. Additive alternates include replacement of the penthouse roof system, replacement of damaged roof curbs, replacement of treated nailer blocking, and replacement of existing metal fascia. The contractor must provide as-built drawings, comply with VA infection control and safety requirements (PCRA/ICRA), and coordinate work to maintain continuous medical center operations.
