Scope of Work
The LG-CSCI2 program provides performance-based supply chain support for competitive landing gear components associated with USAF aircraft. The scope encompasses approximately 2,800 National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs), including USAF Depot Level Reparables (DLRs) and DLA consumables. These range from simple consumable items to complex DLRs requiring forgings and long lead times.
The Prime Contractor will provide end-to-end supply chain management, engineering oversight, quality assurance, and procurement. Key program objectives include:
Achieving a 95% On-Time Delivery (OTD) rate for DLA-managed parts and a 90% OTD rate for USAF-managed parts.
Reducing Production Lead Times (PLTs) across the supply chain by a minimum of 25%.
Executing strategic raw material purchasing, forging die management, and Obsolescence/DMSMS management.

The prime contractor will provide end-to-end supply chain management, engineering oversight, quality assurance, and procurement. Key program objectives include achieving a 95% On-Time Delivery (OTD) rate for DLA-managed parts and a 90% OTD rate for USAF-managed parts, reducing Production Lead Times (PLTs) across the supply chain by a minimum of 25%, and executing strategic raw material purchasing, forging die management, and Obsolescence/DMSMS management. The contractor shall be directly involved in manufacturing oversight, oversee manufacturing processes to ensure smooth logistics flow and quality control practices, manage subcontractor performance and quality, oversee raw material purchasing and distribution to forgers and subcontractors, establish and maintain relationships with material mills and outside processors, locate and maintain forging dies for all forged parts, and develop and implement a comprehensive Obsolescence/DMSMS Management Plan. The contractor shall implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system providing government real-time access to manufacturing tracking data, procurement activities, technical data management, inspection data, subcontractor performance monitoring, AF-managed parts tracking, and forging die condition and location. The contractor shall maintain key personnel including a Principal Engineer, Engineering Team, Journeyman Machinist, and Quality Assurance Expert, all with specified landing gear manufacturing experience and expertise.
