Research Gas

The contractor must deliver specialty gases, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen to the Portland VA campus (buildings 100, 101, 103, 104, and 6) twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Deliveries include replacing empty gas tanks with full tanks, filling VA-owned open-mouth liquid nitrogen dewars (20L-60L), and topping off dry ice totes (approximately 400 lbs per delivery day). The contractor must also handle emergency deliveries within 24 hours of request. The contractor will disconnect empty LN tanks and reconnect full tanks for LN freezers. Deliveries are point-of-use to labs and designated storage rooms; there is no centralized loading dock. The contractor must maintain all required licenses and certifications, and provide PIV-badged personnel or be escorted. The contract includes a base year (11/01/2026-10/31/2027) and four option years.
