Pharmacy Pill Packagers – Domestic End Products Only

The contractor must supply and install two automated unit dose packaging machines (pill packaging systems) — one at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK and one at the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The contractor shall furnish all contract oversight, management, technically trained personnel, OEM authorizations, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, storage, insurances, travel, shipping and delivery costs, and transportation necessary to provide the products and associated installation. The contractor must provide delivery, assembly, installation, and staff training; coordinate delivery and installation with pharmacy leadership at both locations; provide electronic user/repair manuals; perform unpacking, assembly/location placement, connection of utilities, activation, and initial validation/testing; submit documentation/certification of all testing to Pharmacy leadership; conduct a joint inspection upon completion and address any deficiencies; remove packaging and waste; provide an Excel inventory of serial numbers, IPs, and MACs for all devices installed; perform functional verification of the system; obtain VA approval of procedures for final acceptance testing; provide onsite training for pharmacy staff at both sites covering daily operation, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting; provide all necessary training materials and contact information for support; and provide a minimum one-year parts & labor warranty for each unit. The equipment must meet specific salient characteristics including automatic tablet/capsule packaging, tabletop model no larger than 36" L x 15" W x 14" H, integrated tablet counter, tamper-evident single-dose packaging with heat sealing not exceeding 200°F, production capacity of at least 60 packages per minute, direct thermal printer at least 300 dpi, scannable barcodes meeting FDA/VA requirements, linear and 2D barcode labeling, Tall-Man Lettering, and software with inventory control, stock level maintenance, medication management capabilities, user-accessible reporting features, and compatibility with VA-issued Windows 10/11 systems. The contract includes annual software and maintenance support for a base year and four option years.
