A site visit is required before submitting any proposal or quote. The mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, at 9:30 am EDT at NRL. All visitors must notify NRL Contracts at least 2 days prior to the scheduled visit. If you are unable to attend on this date, another date may be requested, although the requested date/time may not be available. No change to the response date and time specified in Block 8 of the Standard Form (SF) 1449 will be granted based on an inability to visit NRL on the planned site visit day. The contractor must relocate two existing air compressors from mechanical room 026B in Building 65 to a new outside metal shed. Work includes providing proper air filtration and automatic condensation removal, extending Siemens BAS wiring, 3-inch copper compressed air piping, and compressor power connection from Room 026B to the new location using rigid galvanized conduit. The contractor must provide a new 208V-120V panel board in the shed for lighting, receptacles, space heater, and exhaust fan; construct a metal shed (estimated 10' x 21') on an 8-inch concrete slab with rebar, double entry doors, a 13,300 CFM exhaust fan, intake louvers, electric unit heater, GFCI receptacles, fire alarm system connected to Building 65, and LED interior/exterior lighting. All utility connections must be above ground, and one compressor must remain operational at all times with outages limited to weekends. The contractor must also provide a construction-phasing plan, design submittals, and comply with all applicable UFC, UFGS, and safety regulations.
