Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), on road networks at the Fish and Wildlife Service’s (FWS) National Wildlife Refuges (NWR)

The contractor will plan, execute, and analyze the performance of commercially available ADAS (SAE Levels 1–2) at one or two of three NWR sites: Desert NWR (Nevada), Neal Smith NWR (Iowa), and/or Parker River NWR (Massachusetts). The work includes on-site field testing and data collection to evaluate system responsiveness to wildlife, visitors, and road conditions (paved and unpaved surfaces, varied terrain, missing lane markings). The contractor must develop a Project Management Plan, Site Operations and Safety Plans, a Procurement and Instrumentation Plan, and a Data Management Plan. The contractor must collect high-fidelity data on ADAS performance, including system engagement/disengagement rates, driver intervention triggers, sensor degradation, and responses to different road types. The contractor must analyze primary and secondary research priorities, synthesize findings in a Final Technical Report, and present an Executive Briefing Slide Deck. The period of performance extends from award through August 15, 2028.
