Electrophoresis Testing for the Albany, Buffalo, and Syracuse VA Medical Centers

The contractor shall provide a fully automated agarose gel electrophoresis analysis system for each of the three VA Medical Center Laboratories (Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse) to perform SPEP, UPEP, IFE, and CSF/Oligoclonal testing. The contractor must supply all instrumentation, reagents, standards, controls, supplies, disposables, and any other materials required to properly perform tests, including calibrators and controls. The cost-per-test pricing must include five-year equipment use, all reagents and consumables, all necessary maintenance and emergency repairs, training for government personnel, and delivery, installation, and removal of equipment upon contract completion. The contractor must provide a bi-directional bar-coded computer interface compatible with Data Innovations and the VA's Vista system, middleware servers for each site, and ensure FIPS 140-2 and CRISP compliance for any connections from the analyzer back to the contractor. The contractor is also responsible for method validation, including correlation studies, carryover studies, and performance verification. The implementation and transition period shall be completed no later than ninety days after contract award.
