The contractor shall provide sand material for ORV ramp maintenance at Ocracoke Ramp 72, approximately 500 ft east of the town of Ocracoke. The base bid requires 2,000 cubic yards of sand meeting specified gradation (medium grade/building or fine sand), delivered in 4-wheel drive vehicles that can traverse the unpaved ramp. The vendor must provide product data (gradation/sieve analysis) and one sample submittal prior to delivery, with two sieve analyses required: one before delivery start and one after approximately half the material is delivered. Deliveries are accepted Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the contractor must coordinate with the NPS point of contact for exact delivery location. Options include an additional 2,000 CY (Option 1) and 1,500 CY (Option 2) of sand material.
