X209 Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) Machines FY27

The seller shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, software, documentation, supervision, and incidental items necessary to provide two production-capable metal L-PBF systems. The medium-scale system must have exactly two independently controlled lasers, a usable X and Y build dimension of 200-300 mm, a Z build dimension of 300-400 mm, a square build area, and a build plate temperature up to 500°C. The large-scale system must have exactly six independently controlled lasers, a usable X and Y build dimension of 400-500 mm, a Z build dimension of 1600-1800 mm, and a square build area. Both systems must include water-cooled optics, an inert process environment with oxygen monitoring and gas recirculation, coordinated multi-laser processing, beam-shaping capability from Gaussian to ring mode, machine monitoring with NIR camera, and a substantially common OEM software environment for build preparation, machine control, and parameter management. The seller must perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) before shipment and site acceptance testing (SAT) after installation, including qualification builds using Haynes 282 powder. The seller must also provide onsite training covering machine operation, powder handling, build preparation, and transfer of build files between systems.
