Boston National Historical Park (BOST) - Bunker Hill Pruning Service
The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, issues this Request for Quote (RFQ) for Bunker Hill Monument Tree Pruning Services. NPS requires professional tree pruning and maintenance services at the Bunker Hill Monument Site to ensure visitor safety, maintain the historical integrity of this National Historic Landmark, and preserve tree health through proper arboricultural practices.

All interested parties shall meet at Boston National Historical Park, in front of the Marine Barracks, in the Charlestown Navy Yard, Charlestown, MA. Parking is not available within Boston National Historical Park. All interested parties to meet at 21 2nd Ave, Charlestown, MA 02129.

The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform tree pruning operations on 25-30 trees at the Bunker Hill Monument Site. Work includes climbing, pruning, chipping, debris removal, site cleanup, and restoration. Pruning objectives include health and safety pruning (removing dead, diseased, broken branches), clearance pruning (8-foot clearance over walkways, 14-foot over vehicle areas), and risk mitigation. All work must comply with ANSI A300, ANSI Z133.1, ISA Best Management Practices, and OSHA standards. The contractor must conduct a pre-inspection of the site prior to submitting an offer. The project is estimated to require five consecutive working days.
