Physical Medicine Advance Course

The College must provide a curriculum resulting in a Physical Therapist Assistant AAS degree and maintain continuous, active programmatic accreditation through CAPTE. The contractor plans, schedules and executes three cohorts per contract year, each of up to twelve students with instruction spanning up to but not exceeding 180 academic training days, cooperating with the AF Senior Enlisted Leader and COR on staggered start/end dates. The contractor secures, oversees and manages all clinical rotation experiences required for graduation, ensuring all clinical sites possess active affiliation agreements with the College and that placements meet CAPTE standards, and assigns qualified clinical instructors to supervise and assess student performance. The contractor monitors, documents and grades student progress during academic and clinical training through formal mid-term and final academic reviews, provides structured academic remediation services, and reports unexcused absences, professional misconduct or clinical facility rule violations to the AF SEL, CO and COR within forty-eight hours. The contractor provides each student an active individual online subscription to an NPTE preparation platform and all required eBooks, clinical workbooks and digital learning modules prior to the first day of instruction, grants AF students full unrestricted access to campus resources, coordinates graduation administration and ceremonies, and registers all program graduates to sit for the NPTE for PTA licensure while covering all examination and registration fees.
