Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab or FNAL), managed and operated by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG) under a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking to subcontract for work aligned with its mission objectives.
The Proton Improvement Plan II (PIP-II) project is an essential upgrade to Fermilab’s accelerator complex to enable the world’s most intense high-energy beam of neutrinos for the international Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at LBNF and a broad physics program, powering discoveries for many decades to come. In support of this project, FNAL requires the design, manufacture, testing, documentation, and delivery of Booster GMPS Power Supply Girder Trimming Capacitors in accordance with the requirements of this specification, as identified herein.
The selected subcontractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to manufacture, inspect, test, package, and deliver the GMPS Capacitors in accordance with the Statement of Work and Technical Specification ES282509RevB. The work includes a First Article of ten (10) capacitors and production of ninety (90) capacitors, totaling 100 capacitors. The capacitors must meet detailed electrical, mechanical, and environmental specifications, including four capacitance values (22 µF, 22 µF, 65 µF, 108 µF ±5%), operation at up to ±1.6 kV pk, and an operating lifetime greater than 195,000 hours with 95% survival. The vendor must perform specified tests (capacitance, hi-pot, leakage, etc.) and provide all QC documents. Delivery is DAP (Incoterms 2020) to Batavia, Illinois, or FOB Destination for domestic shipments.

One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
