Manhole Repairs at Montrose VAMC

The contractor shall provide new materials, labor and equipment for manhole rehabilitation including elimination of infiltration, provision of corrosion protection, adjustment of final grade, and restoration of structural integrity. Work includes pumping water from manholes, cleaning vault bottoms, traffic control, saw-cutting and drilling around manhole cover, application of bonding agent and concrete patch, use of rebar to pin to existing structure, concrete finishing and curing, and asphalt coating. Contractor must prepare area by removing loose gravel and debris, demolish existing concrete lid/frame and construct new replacement, apply protective coatings, and conduct vacuum testing and final visual inspection upon completion. Work must be performed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations for all rehabilitation materials, with environmental conditions and worker safety requirements controlled per manufacturer's instructions. Contractor shall provide daily logs documenting progress, existing conditions, work completed, surface preparation, environmental conditions, and testing results.
