The City of St. Louis is procuring title examination, clearance, commitments, insurance, and related services from licensed title companies to support the Voluntary Buyout and Green Infrastructure Implementation Program, funded by CDBG-DR, for properties impacted by the 2022 flooding event.
The selected contractor shall provide title examination, title research, identification of title defects and encumbrances, coordination of title curative activities, preparation of title commitments, issuance of title insurance policies, and preparation of documentation necessary to facilitate property acquisition activities for approximately 25 developed properties and vacant lots in St. Louis. Services include comprehensive title searches, document preparation for conveyance, basic and complex curative services, replacement housing title searches as needed, document recordation, and issuance of final ALTA Owner's Policy of Title Insurance. The contractor must coordinate with the Land Reutilization Authority (LRA), City staff, and other program partners, and perform all services in accordance with CDBG-DR requirements and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
