Builder’s risk · application

What we need to quote your builder’s risk.

These are the questions the builder’s risk market asks, across five sheets. Answer what you can and send it from the review sheet; we’ll enter it with the carrier and come back with pricing. The questions change with your answers, just as they do in the carrier’s application.

Five sheets, and what to have on hand for each.

Most of it comes straight from the construction contract, the project budget and the builder’s paperwork. Counts assume a new-construction project with no claims history.

From application to bound policy

  1. 06

    Quote

Premium, taxes and fees for the deductibles and coverages you chose. If an answer needs underwriter review, the quote is released after that review, so expect follow-up questions on commercial and multi-story projects.

  2. 07

    Subjectivities

The documents the carrier needs before or after binding, starting with the signed application and anything the underwriter asked for.

  3. 08

    Bind

We confirm the effective date together, then the policy documents and a payment link are issued.

Send us the project and we’ll fill this in with you.
