What the bond actually guarantees
Plumbing in Clermont County is regulated by the Board of Health of Clermont County, which runs the local plumbing program and registers the contractors who do the work. As a condition of registration, it requires a $10,000 surety bond.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier standing behind you, and the Board of Health of Clermont County (the obligee). The bond guarantees that you install and repair plumbing in accordance with the county's plumbing rules and the Ohio plumbing code.
