The bond stands behind proper restoration of the road surface, curb, and sidewalk after the work is finished.
It is a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the Town of Plymouth (the obligee). If the Director of Public Works has to step in and restore a street, curb, or sidewalk that was disturbed by the permitted work, the Town can recover its cost against the bond.
