The contractor shall provide all supplies, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, transportation, infection control, storage, cleaning, delivery, sanitization, assembly/set-up, repair, pick-up and patient training/instruction-in-the-use of Government-owned Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Services include emergency DME repair and maintenance, routine repair and maintenance, delivery and pick-up in four geographical zones within Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, and a 60-day transition period. The contractor must maintain a climate-controlled storage facility of at least 7,000 square feet, a covered vehicle, and comply with Joint Commission standards, infection control procedures, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor is required to perform 100% of services with its own employees and is prohibited from subcontracting.
