The exact specification can be found in the attached Specification/Drawing Package. ORNL will provide "3x ARMCO® soft ingot Iron Sheet - T 40mm 500mm x 500mm".
The bidder must machine and perform post-machining processes on ARMCO pure iron parts including poleshim (24 qty), polecap (12 qty), polecap_MIR (12 qty), centerpoleshim (6 qty), centerpolealcap (6 qty), yokeaddonb (72 qty), yokecover (72 qty), yokeaddon (36 qty), yokesideplate (18 qty), centeryokeshim (6 qty), yokeshim (24 qty), and other components. Post-machining steps include: Step 1 – finish surface with electropolishing (no plating or powder coating); Step 2 – ARMCO heat treatment (heating 2-4°C/min, hold at 950°C for minimum 90 min plus additional time per thickness, cooling 2-4°C/min to below 550-600°C, protected atmosphere until below 300°C); Step 3 – coat parts with powder coating (white, max 60-80um thickness on specified sides) and bright nickel on all other surfaces. ORNL will provide 3x ARMCO soft ingot Iron Sheet - T 40mm 500mm x 500mm as raw material; unused material must be returned with the parts.
