The project tasks are broken into three categories. The first category (Task Nos. 1, 2 and 3) is to install a dedicated life safety branch in the VA Brooklyn campus's Building 1, including automatic transfer switches (ATS) and electrical distribution equipment on each floor with loads dedicated to the life safety branch. The second category (Task No. 5) addresses electrical distribution equipment that requires upgrade and/or replacement to exceed the expected three-phase asymmetrical fault current. The third category (Task Nos. 6 through 26) addresses equipment code violations determined during a previous electrical study.
