The project involves the renovation of the Ambassador Suite and Main Lobby in Building 1 at the John Cochran VA Medical Center. Work includes selective demolition and renovation of the Ambassador Suite, including a new ramp and vestibule, and a full cosmetic renovation of the Main Lobby, including a new vestibule. The existing revolving door will be replaced with an airlock of sliding and swinging doors with automatic controls. The scope also includes general construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, plumbing work, utility systems, fire protection systems, abatement work, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures, and associated appurtenances. The contractor must furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and testing necessary.
