Department of EnergyIssuing agency·Virginia·via the SAM.gov Get Opportunities APIThomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF) is looking to procure engineering service to validate the Neutron Source (SNS) Sub-atmospheric Cold Box vacuum vessel design per the specifications located in Attachment 6 of this RFP package. To be considered for award you must submit an offer and the requested information in this Request for Proposal (RFP) package demonstrating your capability and your understanding of TJNAF’s requirements. This RFP will be a full and open competition with a Best Value/Trade-Off offeror selection process.
It is TJNAF’s intent to make the award by no later than 30 September 2026. The result of this solicitation will be a firm fixed price subcontract.
Jefferson Laboratory has a requirement for a stress analysis and interpreting the results to demonstrate that a vacuum vessel design using the finite element method (FEM) complies with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 2, Part 5.
