I. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures.
II. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2026-01, effective date 13 March 2026, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation. Supplemental change effective 10 November 2025, Department of the Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change effective 16 September 2024.
The Clause at FAR 52.232-18, Availability of funds, applies to this acquisition.
The contract requires the delivery of one (1) Lot of a Handheld Lightweight CUAS device that meets the Salient Characteristics provided in Attachment 2. The system must be non-kinetic, portable, user-friendly, and operable with minimal training. It must detect and identify commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) drone communication protocols, distinguish between authorized and unauthorized aircraft, track both the drone and its operator, and force the drone to land, return to origin, or hover without physical damage. Capabilities include disrupting command/control links and GNSS signals, integrated jamming with optional PNT attack, ATAK compatibility, detection up to 7 km, omni-directional antennas, and AI/ML-powered identification. The system must also include built-in LCD, headset, and ATAK display support, and have rifle-like ergonomics.
