Upper Air Building Restoration & Modernization

The contractor must furnish all necessary labor, materials/supplies, equipment, services, and supervision to accomplish all tasks for the completion of the work. Specific tasks include: initial inspections and site preparation (inspect structural integrity of cinderblock walls, roof structure, venting, and doors); cleaning and surface preparation (power wash interior and exterior walls, remove deteriorated caulking, prepare metal surfaces, remove and replace unsalvageable metal components); structural and envelope repairs (repair cracks in cinderblock walls, repair or replace roof structure over hydrogen storage, repair or replace roof drainage systems, repair or replace venting, replace doors and frames with rust penetration, replace or repair windows, inspect and repair or replace sliding overhead doors and associated components); sealing and painting (seal natural block/concrete walls with Silane/Siloxane Penetrating Sealers, paint existing painted walls with clear breathable acrylic masonry sealer, paint and resurface stairs and all exposed metal components); power and lighting systems (replace existing electrical panel with a new NEMA 4X panel, remove and replace existing lighting and install LED fixtures around the exterior of the building); and final clean-up and compliance (repair any asphalt surrounding the building, remove all debris and waste, restore the worksite to its original condition, ensure all work complies with OSHA safety requirements, environmental regulations, and applicable building codes, submit documentation of inspections, repairs, replacements, and upgrades performed).
