This service contract will provide the processing of water samples for the Renal Dialysis Unit. This includes Colony Forming Unit, LALs, AAMI and Fluid Balance testing. These tests are required by the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and by the manufacturers of equipment we use for the dialysis unit to ensure patient safety.
The contractor will process water samples for the Renal Dialysis Unit, performing Colony Count-48hr Test, LAL/Endotoxin, AAMI Water Panel, and Fluid Balance testing. The base year requires 81 Colony Count-48hr Tests, 81 LAL/Endotoxin tests, 29 AAMI Water Panels, and 21 Fluid Balance tests, with similar quantities for each of four option years. The contractor must track specimens and ensure they reach the laboratory for processing. Results must be provided within three to four days after the laboratory receives samples.
