Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1017 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Bison Handling Equipment consisting of bison crowding, half-circle tub and alleyways handling equipment. Reference Attachment II – SOW.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 332323 The small business size standard is 500 employees This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
The contractor must furnish and install a bison handling system consisting of a crowding system, half-circle tub, and alleyways. The equipment must be constructed of at least 14-gauge metal, with all components designed for handling adult bison. The half-circle tub shall be 8 to 9 feet in height, lined with solid sheet or galvanneal metal, and include a rotating gate with 270-degree rotation. The alleyway will be circular with sliding gates, a load-out section, and connect to a chute. Catch pens will consist of three sections with rotating gates. Installation includes on-site assembly, concreting of posts, and securing the bison chute. Delivery is F.O.B. destination to 1920 Dayton Ave, Ames, IA 50010.
