Terminate - Isolate 8-inch Steam Pipeline

The contractor must safely isolate and terminate the steam line segment between Building 9 and Building 10. Work includes site preparation, shutting down the steam supply, draining and venting residual steam and condensate, installing isolation valves, cutting and removing the steam line segment, removing insulation, providing and installing a new inverted bucket steam trap, capping or sealing line ends, conducting post-work inspection, restoring affected systems, and documenting the work. The contractor must also provide all necessary safety gear, materials (including 300 lb flanges, blank covers, gaskets, bolts, and fasteners), and comply with OSHA standards including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 piping codes, OSHA 1910.261, OSHA 1926 Subpart C, OSHA 1910.146, and OSHA 1910.252.
