This informal bid solicitation is being conducted pursuant to Title 31 Section239(a)(3) of the Virgin Islands Code.
The contractor shall provide landscaping, ground maintenance, and pressure washing services at the Arthur Able Complex (315 Prince Street, Frederiksted) and the First Bank Building (Christiansted). Services include mowing lawns, trimming hedges and trees, cleaning and removing debris, maintaining fence lines, pruning dead or dying branches, cleaning vines from fences and vegetation on buildings, removing all vegetation and debris from property, blowing clean paved areas, and power washing walkways, spouting, buildings, and parking areas using environmentally safe cleaning products. Maximum allowable limits: grass/lawns kept below 6 inches above grade, hedges/ornamentals kept within 9 inches of shape, small trees not blocking visibility or creating hiding, larger trees not extending over roofs, and entrances kept pristine. Frequency is monthly landscaping and monthly pressure washing, as needed or as requested.
Most Virgin Islands work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
