Notice is hereby given that sealed proposalswill be accepted by Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6’s (District) PurchasingDepartment for RFP 26-026/SC, Five (5) -Year Update to the JeffersonCounty Drainage District No. 6 Hazard Mitigation Plan. Specificationsfor this proposal may be obtained from the District’s website, https://dd6.org/departments/purchasing/notices-for-bid/.
Proposals are to be sealed and addressed to theChief Business Officer with the proposal number and name marked on the outsideof the envelope or box. Proposers shallforward an original and four (4) hard copies of their proposal to the addressshown below. Late proposals will berejected as non-responsive. Proposalswill be publicly opened and only the firm name will be read aloud in the JeffersonCounty Drainage District No. 6 Board Room at the time and date below. Proposalsshall be opened in a manner that avoids disclosure of the contents to competingProposers and maintains the confidentiality of the proposals duringnegotiations. Proposals will be open forpublic inspection after the award of the contract, except for trade secrets andconfidential information. Proposersare invited to attend the sealed proposal opening.

Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalitiesand to take whatever action is in the best interest of the District.
All interested vendors are invited to submit a proposalin accordance with the terms and conditions stated in this bid. Allcontractors/subcontractors whose System for Award Management (SAM.gov)registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended or otherwiseexcluded from or ineligible for participation in federal assistance programsmay not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
The awarded proposer will be responsible for updating the hazard mitigation plan for Jefferson County Drainage District No. 6, including the planning process, risk assessment, and mitigation strategy. The proposer will assess the District's assets and potential hazards, revise mitigation actions, and analyze overall risk. The work includes providing a prescriptive approach with emphasis on action and implementation, and a detailed work plan with personnel assignments and a timeline for major tasks.
