HHSC seeks Outside Counsel specializing in information technology and intellectual property law to provide representation, advice, and assistance regarding information technology and intellectual property matters.
Outside Counsel will provide specialized legal services regarding complex information technology matters, including advising on draft documents, negotiations, and compliance review of software licensing agreements; technology-related legal issues such as intellectual property, data security, and artificial intelligence; risk management strategies; and specialized negotiation support. Services include advising on complex IT transactions, reviewing and drafting IT agreements, advising on compliance requirements, and attending in-person or virtual meetings as requested. The Lead Attorney must have at least five consecutive years of recent experience in IT and IP law, be licensed in Texas, and be in good standing with the State Bar. Outside Counsel must not utilize subcontractors. Services will be provided throughout Texas, and travel within the state may be required at Outside Counsel's own expense.
