South Flores Street (Commerce Street to Martin Street)

From Commerce to Martinthe curb will generally by removed and replaced, narrowing the street andwidening the sidewalk. Sidewalks over basements will need to be carefullyremoved, waterproofing applied to the area, and replacing the sidewalk. In 2locations, sidewalks over basements will be demolished and reconstructed with anew supporting understructure.

Sidewalk topping will be used from Commerce toHouston. There will be minor street reconstruction. Most street work willconsists of mill & overlay with new concrete bus pads installed, includingsignage and lane markings.

New traffic signals from Houston Martin will beinstalled. Storm sewer trunkline will be replaced from Flores to Camaron;inlets at Flores and Salinas will be removed and replaced. Street trees andirrigation will also be included.
